Toltu Tufa is a registered psychologist with the Psychology Board of Australia.
Toltu is experienced in working across clinical, forensic, and organisational psychology; she treats a wide range of diagnoses and presentations in adults. Her clinical interests include mental health disorders, crisis management, emotional dysregulation, complex trauma presentations, and wellbeing for doctors and health care professionals.
She uses a variety of evidence-based frameworks including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Dialectical Behavioural Therapy and mindfulness based strategies. Her person-centred approach encapsulates a trauma informed base; she focusses on warmth and validation whilst at the same time pushing for change and growth in a direct but empathetic way.
Prior to her work as a Psychologist, Toltu worked for ten years in hospital clinical governance. She is also an award-winning educator and TED speaker with experience as a radio and television show host.
